How BluGives works: direct giving made simple
The current flow combines account registration, recipient profiles, fee disclosure, and a third-party payment step. Knowing the limits of each step is part of making an informed gift.
Before you begin
Recipient profiles may display a social-account review status and trust signals. These signals provide context, but they are not a guarantee of identity, need, future behavior, or how funds will be used.
The current donation flow deducts a 3% payment-processing fee and a 2% platform fee from the amount entered. The exact fees and the recipient's net amount are shown before payment.
A direct gift to an individual is generally not a charitable tax deduction and is described in the current Terms as generally non-refundable. Payment availability, reviews, holds, and settlement can depend on the configured third-party provider.
Choose a donor or recipient role, complete the required account fields, and confirm access to your email with a one-time code.
Profiles may show linked-social-account review status and trust context. These signals do not guarantee identity, need, or future use of funds.
A signed-in donor reviews the profile, selects an available recipient, and enters an amount within the product's current limits.
The payment screen shows both fee lines and the recipient amount. Payment completion then moves to the configured third-party provider.
Itemized fee summary
The gross amount, processing fee, platform fee, total fees, and recipient amount appear before payment.
Profile context
Recipient stories, location information, and available trust signals help the donor assess the request.
Known limits
Status badges, recipient updates, provider availability, refunds, and tax treatment are explained without guarantees.
